Wendy Dusenbury, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ANVP-BC has 25 years of nursing experience with 20 of those years in advanced practice and nearly half of her career in the study of neurological and neurovascular disease. She has presented and published on topics surrounding acute stroke management both nationally and internationally.
Wendy earned her BSN from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, MSN from Wichita State University, her DNP from University of Alabama-Birmingham, and is currently pursuing her PhD with a research focus in hemorrhagic stroke, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
She is currently a Nurse Practitioner for University of Tennessee Clinical Health in Memphis, Tennessee where she works with the acute stroke team, on board the mobile stroke unit, and is the Lead Nurse Practitioner for the Acute Inpatient Tele-Stroke Program. Wendy also is a Disease Specific Reviewer for the Joint Commission.
